2011 Oslo SusCon

Oslo SusCon X July 21.-25. 2011

This year is our 10th SusCon and we are proud to invite practitioners and enthusiasts from around the word to take part in Wings of Desire’s celebration at Månefisken.

We strive to live up to our reputation, all our effort will go into creating a safe and relaxed space for people to come together and suspend. We give all participants an opportunity to hang in a position of their choice, learn and share knowledge, listen to classes and lectures by WoD and guest speakers, and have a good time.

Program

The program is yet to be set in stone, but the main topic on the opening day this year will be the evolution of Wings of Desire. Yours truly, founder of WoD will be telling tales and shed light on the philosophy behind our practise. Other members of our team will also be speaking about their involvement in WoD and why they have chosen to be part of the crew.

Guest speakers will cover both technical and biographical lectures during the course of the event and offer a chance to advance your knowledge about suspension.

Rough schedule:

21st Setting up venue, crew meeting and volunteer meeting.
22nd Opening day, meet, greet, lectures, dinner, suspensions
23rd Suspensions, classes, food, suspensions, food, performance, suspensions
24th See 23rd
25th Packing up venue, setting up backyard, party, food, branding
26th Aftermath

Registration fee

Attendance is possible in various categories:

Participant    (Full fee)         1.500,- NOK
Volunteer*    (50% off)            750,- NOK
Crew*              (Food fee)          500,- NOK
Observer       (Peek fee)       1.000,-  NOK
Press**          (Negotiable)       500,- NOK

We also offer a limited number of scholarships to members of suspension teams. To obtain a scholarship and get 50% discount you must apply by email to: head (at) painsolution.net.  Receivers of scholarship are expected to be part of the Volunteer team.

Accomodation

We are working on a dormitory to offer a crash pad free of charge for those who need it. More details on this later. This link takes you to reasonable priced hotels. More suggestions will be provided on request.                                                    Guest crew will be taken care of in private accommodation.

Food

At the SusCon lunch and dinner will be served everyday; all the food is vegetarian, or vegan on request. There will also be fruit and snacks, coffee and tea available throughout the event. Soft drinks can be purchased on site. You must take care of breakfast yourself.
